ATO Command Centre

Introduction

The ATO Command Centre (ACC) within Workpapers Sorted provides firms with a centralised hub to manage ATO lodgements, due dates, and communications directly from a single platform.
With the ACC, firms can monitor lodgement obligations, manage communications, review upcoming deadlines, and action compliance-related tasks more efficiently without leaving the platform.

Prerequisite

Before accessing the ATO Command Centre, ensure that the ATO Integration is active for your account.
Once the integration is enabled, the platform will begin synchronising ATO-related data and communications into the ATO Command Centre.


Accessing the ATO Command Centre

Step 1:-
Log in to the platform using your credentials.
Step 2:-
Navigate to the ATO Command Centre (ACC) from the left-hand side menu.
Step 3:-
You will now be redirected to the ACC Dashboard, where you can monitor lodgements, manage due dates, and review ATO communications.


ACC Dashboard Overview

The ACC Dashboard provides firms with a real-time overview of their compliance position across all clients.
The dashboard is designed to improve visibility and help firms proactively manage lodgement obligations and communications from one central location.

Within the dashboard, users can:

Refresh ATO data
Review lodgement statistics
Monitor upcoming obligations
Access lodgement summaries
View listings by category

Lodgement Overview

The Lodgement Overview section provides a consolidated view of ATO lodgement obligations and statuses.

Users can monitor:

Total lodgement numbers
Upcoming lodgements
Lodgement summaries
Category-based lodgement listings
NotesNote: The data can also be refreshed whenever required to ensure the latest ATO information is available within the platform.

Managing Due Dates
The Manage Due Dates section allows firms to review, organise, and action lodgement obligations directly from the platform.
Users can customise their view using the Manage Columns option, allowing teams to display the most relevant information based on their operational requirements.
The section also includes a Review & Import feature. If ATO clients are not already available within Workpapers Sorted, users can review the client listing and import clients from XPM directly into the platform.

From the Due Dates section, users can also:

  1. View existing jobs
  2. Create new jobs directly against the lodgement obligation
  3. This integration helps firms align compliance management with workflow activities more efficiently.



ATO Communication Centre

The ATO Communication section centralises all ATO-related correspondence associated with your clients into a single communication hub.
Instead of manually reviewing communications across different systems, firms can now monitor, assign, and manage correspondence directly within the platform.

The communication categories available within the ACC include:

Inbox
Displays all incoming ATO communications and correspondence.
Assigned to Me
Displays communications assigned specifically to the logged-in user for review or action.
Action Required
Displays communications where follow-up actions are still pending.
Unrecognised
Displays communications that could not be automatically recognised or categorised by the system.
Sent
Displays communications that have already been forwarded to clients or internal users.
Archived
Displays communications that have been archived for future reference.
Automation Settings
This section will support communication automation rules and workflows in future platform releases.


Managing ATO Communications

Users can open individual communications to review details and perform actions directly from the platform.
The ACC allows firms to streamline communication management while improving accountability across teams.

Available actions include:

Send to Client
Communications can be forwarded directly to clients where review or action is required.
Assign to Staff
Communications can be assigned internally to staff members for follow-up, review, or processing.

Additional communication actions include:
  1. Add Notes
  2. Download communication attachments where PDF files are available
  3. Forward communications to yourself
  4. Archive communications for future reference
These features help firms improve internal collaboration and ensure important communications are actioned promptly.
