Creating and Submitting Wind-up Jobs

Introduction

If you're working on a wind-up fund, follow these steps to create and submit wind-up jobs in SMSF Sorted.
Ensure you have added an End Date in the accounting software(Class, BGL360 & Supermate).

Adding an End Date in Class

Step 1: Log in to Class and select the Fund Name.


Step 2: In the Fund Dashboard, go to the Details tab to edit Fund Details.



Step 3: Click Edit, enter the End Date



Step 4: Once done, click on Save Changes.


Step 5: Wind up date will be added successfully and you'll receive a confirmation toast message informing you the same.


Running period Update in Class

Once the End Date is added, you must run a Period Update for all previous years to reflect changes and appropriate data:
Step 1: Click Periodic Processing and select Period Updates.


Step 2: Select and click on the Financial Year.



Step 3: Now click on the New Period.



Step 4: Now click on Process.



Step 5: Once processed, the Period Update will be published.


Adding End Date for a fund in BGL360

Step 1: To add End Date in the BGL 360, login click on the Fund Name.



Step 2: You'll now reach to Fund Dashboard. Click on the Edit button.



Step 3: Scroll down and enter the Wind Up Date and click Save Changes button.


Running period compliance in BGL 360

After updating the End Date, run Period Compliance for all previous years:
Step 1: Click Compliance and select Period Compliance.



Step 2: Set the Start Date and End Date, then click Create Entries.



Step 3: Once processed, the Period Compliance will be updated.


Creating Wind Up Job in SMSF Sorted

  1. Once the End Date is added in the accounting software, Reimport the clients into SMSF Sorted to reflect the changes.
  2. While Creating the job, the wind-up year will be automatically selected and the Job Type will be displayed as Wind-Up along with the year after successful job creation.
