Deactivating and Reactivating Clients

Deactivating and Reactivating Clients

Introduction

In SMSF Sorted, you can deactivate a client if you're no longer working on their job. Deactivating a client helps reduce your billing charges while still allowing you to retain their data at the lowest possible cost.
Below is the step-by-step guide to deactivate and reactivate clients in SMSF Sorted.

How to Deactivate Clients

Step 1: Click on Clients Manage Clients.

Notes
Note:
  1. Staff with Business Admin and Super User Roles can only Deactivate or Delete clients. You can not deactivate any client who has even 1 job that is still in progress.
  2. The deleted records cannot be retrieved back hence it is recommended users complete all pending actions for jobs and download the Sorted workpaper file before Deactivating and Deleting a client.

How to Reactivate Client

Step 1: You can Re-activate clients from the Inactive Clients Tab, accessible through Clients Manage Clients

Notes
Note: A client can be reactivated anytime, however, if it is re-activated within an 18-month period, retrospective charges will be applied for all months when the client was deactivated.
