MS Office Plugin

Introduction

MS Plugin will allow Cloudoffis to integrate seamlessly with MS Office. It will allow you to create, edit and save documents using MS Office tools (Word, Excel) directly. It will provide you with a hassle-free document management experience with a quick and easy-to-follow setup process.

Note: To reinstall MS Plugin, please uninstall the existing MS plugin from your system. Then download the updated MS Plugin from Cloudoffis to reinstall it following the below process. 

Downloading and Installing MS Plugin

Refer to the steps given below to know how to download and install MS Plugin.
Step 1:- Click on Admin > Report Templates.

Step 2:- Now click on Download MS Plugin.

Step 3:- Select your MS Office bit version and click on Download MS Plugin.

Step 4:- A zip file will be now downloaded and you can click on it and open it from the left bottom corner of your screen.

Step 5:- Double-click on the downloaded document from the zip file to install MS Plugin.



Step 6:- Now click on Next.

Step 7:- Choose the Installation path and click on Next.

Step 8:- Click on Next once again to confirm.

Step 9:- MS Plugin will now start installing, click on Close once the installation has been completed.

Step 10:- To ensure that MS Plugin has been installed successfully, open MS Word and look for the Cloudoffis tab on the top taskbar.

How to Check MS Office Version(32-bit/62-bit)

If you are unaware of the Version of your MS Office, follow the steps mention to know and download the correct file to support your version.
Step 1: Open an MS Word document and click on File.



Step 2: Now click on Account and then on About Word.



Step 3: On the appearing pop-up, the last word of the first line will help you know your MS Office Version.



Generating Credentials

To Generate and view your MS Plugin credentials follow the steps given below.
Step 1:- From the auditomation portal, click on Admin > Integrations > MS Plugin.
Step 2:- If you have never generated the credentials for MS Plugin, a Generate Credentials button will now be visible on your screen, click on it.

Step 3:- A unique password will be generated for your username over here.

Note:- These credentials will be required while editing or saving your very first document in MS Office with Cloudoffis Integration. Once entered, it won't be required once again.

Editing Report Template

To finish the authentication process, you will have to edit the created report template in MS Office. To Edit the Report Template in MS Office, refer to the steps given below:
Step 1:- Click on Admin > Report Templates

Step 2:- Now click on Edit in the MS Office icon from the Action column for the Report Template that you want to edit or add content into.

Step 3:- The document will now be downloaded to your device.

Step 4:- Open the downloaded template in MS Word, a pop-up will now appear. Enter the previously generated credentials here and hit Login.

Step 5:- You can now edit the required documents in MS Office and the updated version will be directly available in the SMSF Auditomation Portal.

Uninstalling MS Plugin

To uninstall MS Plugin from your device follow the steps given below:


Step 1: Search and open Control Panel on your device.

Step 2: Now click on Programs.

Step 3: Look for MS Cloudoffis and Right-click on it to select Uninstall.

Step 4: Now click on Yes to confirm the action.

You have now successfully uninstalled MS Office Plugin.
