Multi Tax Agent

Multi Tax Agent and Manual Job

Introduction

We’re excited to introduce two enhancements designed to make tax and workpaper management more flexible for firms:
  1. Multi Tax Agent enables firms to manage multiple tax agent credentials within a single platform instance, simplifying the management of ATO data across the practice.
  2. Manual Job allows firms to import financial data through Excel and prepare workpapers for clients who do not use supported accounting software integrations, while continuing to benefit from the platform’s automation features.

Multi Tax Agent

The Multi Tax Agent feature allows firms to link multiple tax agent credentials to a single platform instance, making it easier to manage ATO data across the entire practice, without needing separate platform instances for each tax agent.

  1. Once multiple tax agents are connected, the platform can automatically retrieve ATO data for the clients associated with each registered agent, including Integrated Client Accounts (ICA), Income Tax Accounts (ITA), ATO pre-fill data, and historical BAS and previously lodged tax data.
  2. The ATO Command Centre also supports multiple tax agents, allowing firms to manage and view Due Date and Communication information for each tax agent from within the platform.

This enhancement provides firms with a centralised view of ATO information while supporting multiple tax agents within the same platform.
NotesNote- If the tax agent is not reflected on the Client List screen for the respective job, add the agent through the Xero Practice Manager portal and then refresh the client data in Workpapers Sorted.

How to Create a Manual Job

The Manual Job feature allows firms to prepare workpapers for clients who do not use supported accounting software integrations.
With Manual Job, firms can import financial data into the platform through Excel and prepare workpapers for clients who do not use Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.

Step 1: From the Client List screen, select the "+" (Create Job) icon located under the Financial Year column.

Step 2: Enter the required details and assign the relevant staff members. Post that, click Create Job.

Step 3: Once you click on Create Job, Upload the client's financial data manually, or Connect the client to MYOB or QuickBooks to retrieve the financial data directly from the accounting software.

Step 4: Once the financials are uploaded, you can proceed to select the File Type and map them in Map Columns based on the preview available on the right hand side of your screen.
Step 5: Post mapping is done, click on Save & Next.
