Release 4.12
Release 4.12 is packed with user interface enhancements, speed of navigation improvements, and updates to some of our observations.
Enhancements
- Review Checklist split into 3 sections (SIS Checklist, Other Checklist & Audit Program Checklist) to limit the opening time.
- Audit Program Checklist now syncs 2 ways enabling the ability to;
- View documents and comments made within the Plan and Process sections from the Audit Program Checklist
- Add documents and comments within the Audit Program Checklist, these also populate to the Plan and Process sections and therefore the audit file pdf summary
- Add supporting documents to the Other Checklist which will also populate into the audit file pdf summary
- Updates to Contribution Cap observation to align with changes within Class and BGL Contribution Caps report.
- We have added additional columns and data to the Submitted by Accountants queue, this affects auditors receiving SMSF Sorted jobs only and will provide greater clarity of the status of submitted jobs
Fixes & Logic Updates
- For jobs sent from SMSF Sorted, the Firm Name will now reflect the connected accounting firm and aligns with the logic for connections outside of SMSF Sorted
- We have consolidated bucket options for our RIsk Matrix to enable a more consistent experience for all administration software.
- We have improved our error notifications for BGL Desktop and manual audit jobs, our errors will be more specific when there is a formatting issue where possible eg: Invalid format (Problem in Line #12) in Trial Balance, please review or contact support.
Review Checklist Restructure
The addition of many tools to our checklists has impacted the opening speed of our Review Checklist, we have now segregated the Review Checklist to increase speed and improve usability. We have also enhanced the Audit Program Checklist to now sync with the checklist within the Plan and Process.
Change to UI
When the Review Checklist is selected, the page will open almost instantly and default to the SIS Checklist. Selecting the Other Checklist or Audit Program Checklist will of course open those checklists and provide further options;
SIS Checklist
Aside from its position and the speed of opening, there have been no other changes to the SIS checklist. Adding comments, documents and queries is still available and all information is added to the pdf audit summary file.
Other Checklist
This checklist now includes the ability to attach documents, all attachments will appear on the pdf audit summary file also.
Audit Program Checklist
This checklist now includes the ability to attach documents, all attachments will appear on the pdf audit summary file also. We have also activated syncing in this review checklist, now any documents, comments, or queries added to the review checklist will also appear within the checklist and vice versa. All information added will also populate onto the pdf audit file summary also.
For example
The below comment & document were added from the review checklist page;
These now also populate within the Asset section of the audit
IMPORTANT NOTE
Due to the segregation of these checklists, when the check all as complete function is used, SIS items that are situated within the Audit Program Checklist will no longer mark as complete and must be completed within the SIS Checklist or matching audit section. Due to this, the percentage values will not show as 100% until the associated SIS item is marked as complete or N/A.
For Example
The below image was taken after the check all as complete was selected, you will note that Member Entitlements only updates as 90%. This is because r.5.03 exists on the Member Entitlement page but does not update with the check all as complete function. Once it is marked as complete from the Members Entitlement page or SIS Checklist the percentage will display 100%.
Contribution Cap Observation Update
We have now updated our Contribution Cap observation to further align with the Contribution Cap reports of Class & BGL. We will be creating a comprehensive guide for this which will go live within 48 hrs.
These changes will only appear on newly created 2020 FY audit jobs after this release, or after the re-importing of the lead schedule after the release date.
The below images highlight the changes, most notably;
- Total Super Balance (TSB) will now display next to the member's age (BGL only at this stage)
- Non-Concessional will now show the current year cap
- Additional fields added
- Cumulative available unused cap
- Maximum cap avaialble
Please ignore the names of the members below, these images are from our test environment
Current format
New Format
Submitted by Accountants Queue (SMSF Sorted audits only)
We have added additional fields and updated how we capture details when the job is processed to help identify which jobs have been processed and those yet to be processed.
New fields
- ABN
- Fund Code
- Received Date (Changed from Submitted Date)
- Created Date
- Status
- History
Our new fields also come with sort and filter functions where appropriate
In addition, we have also updated our Action queue to align with our logic. The briefcase Icon (create audit job) will now only appear for jobs that are yet to be processed. As always, our portals will not allow a duplicate audit for the same fund and FY to be created so instead of generating an error if attempted we have removed the option to process.
