What's New in Release 4.5

We do try to keep updates to a minimum during the period leading to audit deadline dates to ensure a stable environment with no changes that will require adaptation. Release 4.5 includes many cosmetic updates as well as bug fixes, not all bug fixes are mentioned as they are user specific but the significant fixes and enhancements are below. 

Enhancements

  1. Newly added function to trigger an email notification for internal queries.
  2. For BGL 360 & Desktop users we have added fund name and audit year details on upload report slides within observations.
  3. Fund name and audit year details added during job creation, re-importing of lead schedule and documents pages to increase usability.
  4. We have added a warning on our re-import lead schedule page relating to the new zero taxation balance logic.
  5. Class logo updated.
  6. Documents screen default view updated to increase opening speed

Fixes

  1. External job creation email duplication has been removed for all scenarios and roles.
  2. Suspended bank accounts with zero opening and closing balances will no longer appear in lead schedule.
  3. Additional replies to external queries will also trigger email notifications.
  4. Rectified bug with some Desktop funds not carrying permanent documents forward.

Internal Query Notification

Once internal queries have been created there is an option to notify users of the internal queries;

From the Queries & Review Points menu, select Internal Queries and click Notify assignee;



A pop up will appear providing the option to select the user the query was assigned to;

For additional flexibility we will allow multiple users (only those assigned a role for the audit) to be notified. it is important to note that this does not affect or influence the behaviour of the query and how/who receives the standard internal notification or who receives the query on their dashboard.

This is an interim step, our internal and external query module is being further enhanced later this year to allow additional flexibility and functions

Fund details added to screens and upload slides

Fund name and audit year details added on upload report slides and multiple pages throughout audit creation or re-import process.

Based on feedback it was quite often that users would forget which report they selected while navigating to or downloading reports, the name on the report now appears in the top line of the upload slide that appears on the right of screen.

Documents Screen Default View Update

When you navigate to the documents screen the default view will now be 20, once there you can change view to 50 or 100, we have also added a summary of how many pages you are currently viewing and the total number of pages.



Based on feedback the main reasons for navigating to the documents age was to move documents to permanent or check if a particular document had been uploaded and OCR processed. Due to this we have reduced the amount of documents displayed by default to reduce loading time. Even though we only display 20 documents, the search function will locate all results that suit the search criteria, this update will result in a faster and user friendly documents page.
