Roll Forward a Document to Next Year
Roll Forward option allows users to roll forward a document to the next year job. This option would be very helpful when a document is relevant for multiple year jobs.
Example: Docs like property valuation, title search, loan agreement etc. are useful for current year job and future year jobs. Using this feature; users can include the docs automatically in future jobs. Please refer to the below guide how a document can be roll forwarded.
- Open the document and select Tag & Save option while bookmarking. The roll forward option is not available if Save Only option has been selected.
- Select the Roll Forward check box as mentioned in the below image.
- When user create the next year job; the document will be automatically tagged on the same line item on which it has been tagged.
- If a document has been roll forwarded from previous year and is no longer valid for next year then you can unselect the checkbox of Roll Forward. After this the document will not be rolled forwarded to future year jobs.
