Viewing and Responding to Audit Queries

If the auditor raises an audit query during their review, the staff member assigned to the audit on the Accounting Portal will receive a notification. The staff member should then log in to their SMSF Sorted account to view the query in full and respond.

The queries will be visible in the below 2 ways:
1) under “External Queries” on the SMSF Sorted Dashboard
or
2) from Submitted to Auditor tab (Sorted Basic users)

1) External Queries on the SMSF Sorted Dashboard

Click on the query to view the details.  Reply to the query and attach any required supporting documents directly to the query and the Auditor will receive your reply.

Note - Once the query has been responded to, it will no longer show under “External Queries” on the main dashboard.

Viewing All Queries

From the Dashboard, click "View all Queries" next to External Queries.

The Queries page will then be displayed.

  2. O refer to 'Open' and the number beside indicates the number of open queries .
  3. A query will remain Open until it is marked as resolved by the Auditor.  Therefore, a query may still show as Open even if it has been responded to by the Accountant.

For a clear view on which queries need to be actioned, you can filter the queries.
  1. Click the drop drown for Select Query Type , then select Received or Responded as desired.
