Why have documents not transferred from the accountant after they sent a job?
Overview
From January 27 2022 with the rollout of the SMSF Sorted Connect portals, the way that accountants transmit documents for a job has changed. Once the documents have been uploaded, there is an extra step to submit the documents. This is occasionally missed by the accountant. This article will outline the steps to take to make sure the documents are sent correctly.
Steps provided to the Accountant when importing
When the accountant submits a job, they are provided with steps on how to successfully send the job and documents. It is Step 4 that is often missed.
How to send documents already uploaded but not submitted
- If the documents uploaded were not successfully transmitted to the Auditor, the accountant needs to go to the DMS in their portal
- Open the Unsorted folder for the specific fund that documents are needed
- Check the Select all box
- Click the Submit to Auditor icon
- A confirmation message will appear. We recommend checking the Notify box. This will send a confirmation email to the auditor that the documents have been sent.
- Once successful, the message below will appear.
How long does the transfer take?
On the Auditomation side, the transfer is instant, with the uploaded documents available immediately in the relevant job through the Documents section of the job.
NOTE: The job must have been commenced for the documents to be available
