User Roles & Permissions

Take greater control over how your practice accesses and manages Workpapers Sorted with the new User Roles & Permissions feature.

Practice administrators can now assign roles and manage permissions for users across the practice, helping improve security, governance, and operational efficiency. Administrators can control access to key areas of the platform and ensure that each user has the appropriate level of access based on their responsibilities.

What Admins Can Now Manage

With User Roles & Permissions, practice administrators can:

  • Manage User Roles – Assign appropriate roles to users across the practice.
  • Control Permissions – Choose whether users can Manage or View/Hide specific areas and features.
  • Restrict ATO Command Centre Access – Control which users have access to the ATO Command Centre.
  • Improve Practice Security – Ensure users only have access to the features and information relevant to their role.
  • Support Better Governance – Maintain greater control and visibility over user access as your practice grows.

Notes
Note: Practice administrators must assign a role to every user in the practice to ensure continued access to Workpapers Sorted.
  1. To manage roles and permissions, navigate to Staff > Roles and Permissions. Administrators can review and customise the available roles and permissions, then navigate to Staff > Edit to assign a role to each user.
