Audit Basic portal for connected Auditors

Introduction

We offer Auditomation Basic Portal for the connected Auditors who's accountants use SMSF Sorted Pro. Following are the functionalities and actions that can be performed by the auditors using the Auditomation Connected Portal.

Referenced Audit Workpaper Files

Auditors connected with SMSF Sorted Accountants now have the ability to download referenced audit workpaper files. These files contain hyperlinks to the source documents that have been tagged to the line items by the accountant.
  1. Complementary Files: Each auditor receives 50 complementary referenced audit workpaper files annually.
  2. Top-up and Upgrade: After downloading the 50th file, auditors can either top up additional referenced files or upgrade their subscription for more downloads.

Downloading and Viewing a Workpaper File

When auditors click the download icon, the referenced audit workpaper files will be downloaded as a zip folder. To view the contents:
Extract the zip file to a separate folder.

The extracted folder contains:
  1. The workpaper file
  2. A folder with source documents shared by the accountant.

Best Browser Compatibility

The workpaper file is best viewed using Google Chrome, as indicated in the user interface.

Hyperlinked Documents

The source documents tagged by accountants on line items will have a prefix "WP" along with a hyperlink. Clicking the hyperlink allows the user to open and view the source document.
Other items you can review within the workpaper file include:
  1. Permanent Documents
  2. Prior Year Documents
  3. Additional Documents
  4. Reports
  5. Audit Source Document Files
Auditors have the option to download an unlimited number of files without hyperlinks to the tagged documents, giving more flexibility in managing document reviews.

Resubmitted Jobs

When an accountant from SMSF Sorted resubmits a job, the following changes are applied:
  1. Identification: Resubmitted jobs will have a specific icon next to the job name to differentiate them from other received jobs.
  2. No File Reduction: If the referenced workpaper file from the resubmitted job has already been downloaded, it will not count against the annual limit of complementary files.

Link Expiry

  1. 30-Day Expiry: Files will expire 30 days after the job submission date, after which they cannot be retrieved.
  2. History Tab: Expired entries can be viewed under the History tab with details about the file.
  3. Manual Deletion: Users also have the option to manually delete files whenever necessary.

Notifications

Auditors connected to the Audit Basic Portal will receive the following automated email notifications:
  1. Connect Request: A connect request email with a registration link.
  2. Account Creation: An email containing account credentials after the account is created.
  3. Connect Request for Existing Portal Users: Notifications for auditors who already have access to the Audit Basic Portal.
  4. Job Submitted: An email notification when a new job is submitted.
  5. Job Resubmitted: An email notification when a job is resubmitted.
These features help auditors stay informed and manage their work efficiently within the Audit Basic Portal.
