Creating Staff - (Non-Xero Users)

Introduction

Here's how you can easily add your non-Xero users as staff in Tax Sorted to enable them to log in and start preparing workpapers.
Staff members can have one of the following statuses:
Invited: Displayed after sending an invitation. The status remains as Invited until the staff member accepts the invite and registers.
Active: Once the staff member successfully registers in Tax Sorted, their status updates to Active.
Suspended: If a staff member leaves or is no longer associated with your firm, you can suspend their account, changing their status to Suspended.

How to Create Staff

Step 1: Click on Settings and then select Staff.

Step 2: Now click on the Invite button from the top right of your screen.

Step 3: Enter your staff details(First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Message(if any)) and click on Send Invite.

Step 4: You will receive a confirmation toast message and an email will be sent to the given email id.

Once they have successfully registered themselves into Tax Sorted, they can follow the steps mentioned in the linked article to enable MFA in their account. 

Registering in Tax Sorted as Staff/ Accepting Tax Sorted Invite.

Step 1: You will receive an invitation email. Click on the Accept Invitation button from that email.

Step 2: On the appearing page, details like First Name, Last Name and Email-ID will be pre-filled. You will just have to Create Password and Confirm Password.

Step 3: Once done, click on Sign-up.

Step 4: You will be successfully logged into Tax Sorted. You'll receive a welcome toast message and a quick 2 step walkthrough to guide you about how to sync clients with Xero ledger and how to create Workpaper File.

Discarding Staff Invite

You can only discard the Invite sent to your staff email id until your staff hasn't accepted and registered themselves on Tax Sorted.
Step 1: Click on Settings > Staff.

Step 2: Now click on the Discard icon(If appears) alongside the Staff Name.

Suspending Staff

Once your staff have accepted the Invite and registered themselves on Tax Sorted, you can simply suspend them by following the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Click on Settings > Staff.

Step 2: Now click on the Suspend icon alongside the Staff Name.

Step 3: Click on Yes from the appearing pop-up to confirm the action.

Step 4: You will then receive a confirmation toast message at the bottom of your screen.

The Status of the Staff will then change to Suspended from Active.
