Managing Open Queries in SMSF Sorted Lite

Introduction

Efficiently manage open queries in SMSF Sorted Lite. Access essential information about funds with pending queries, including fund names, codes, ABNs, and audit statuses. This streamlined process allows you to promptly respond to queries by selecting the relevant fund, addressing the specific query, and attaching any necessary documents, ensuring a smooth audit process. You no longer need to switch back and forth between multiple SMSF Sorted dashboards to address a query. You can now perform all query-related actions within SMSF Sorted Lite. 

Viewing Open Queries

  1. You can view Open, Received and Total Queries on the Audit Console page, under Queries column.



  1. To view open queries, go to the Open Queries tab from Audit Console page. This will display all funds with open queries. Total no. of funds with open queries will be displayed on the top with the heading.


Columns

Clicking on any of the column other than query will take you to the Fund Dashboard for that specific fund.
  1. Fund Name: Displays the name of the fund with open queries.
  2. Fund Code: Shows the fund codes for the listed funds.
  3. ABN: Displays the Australian Business Number for the available funds.
  4. Documents: Shows the number of documents available in a fund.
  5. Audit Submitted: Indicates if the fund has been submitted for audit. Yes means it has been submitted, No means it's pending.
  6. Audit Stage: Displays the current stage of the audit, which can be Submitted, On Hold, Audit in Progress, Finalized, or Completed.
  7. Queries: Shows the number of open queries and total queries for each fund. Clicking on this will display the open query for that specific fund.
  8. Auditor: Displays the name of the auditor.

Responding to a Query

Step 1: From the Audit Console page, click on the Open Queries tab. Select the fund for which you want to respond to a query by clicking on the Query column.

Step 1: Click on the query count from the Audit Console page under the Query column, alongside the Fund Name.



Step 3: This will open a query slider, which will show the number of open and resolved queries at the top.



Step 4: Select the specific query you want to respond to from the list of available queries and click on it.
Step 5: A text box will appear at the bottom where you can add your response or reply to the query.
Step 6: You can also attach any required documents. Hit Send button once done.


Step 7: Click Close once you have successfully replied to the query.
