Tagging documents from DMS

This article looks at how to tag documents from DMS

Clearing the Unsorted Folder

  1. After uploading documents to DMS, one of the first tasks often done is to clear the Unsorted Folder. From the Job Dashboard, click on the Unsorted folder in the DMS panel



  2. A list of unsorted documents will be displayed.


  3. Click on a document to tag. The document will open in the viewer



  4. Click the Tag Tool icon then click on the particular item you wish to bookmark, in this example, the 30/06/2018 unit balance.



  5. Click in the --- Select --- box and navigate to the appropriate General Ledger item you wish to bookmark



  6. Once selected, you can amend the annotation on the bookmark.



  7. Once at least one bookmark has been added to a document in the Unsorted folder, it will move to the Workpaper folder.

Using other editing tools in DMS

Text Highlight

To use the Text Highlight, click on the icon in the Document Viewer toolbar, navigate to the place on the document you wish to highlight, then hold the left-click and drag across to highlight.



Comment Note

To use the Comment Note, click the icon in the Document Viewer toolbar, navigate to where you would like to place a comment, then click to place the comment. A dialogue box will then be available on the right to allow you to enter your comment.


Once you have finished, click Save.
You will note that if you click on the Comment Note on the document, you can either Edit or Delete the comment.

Both Text Highlights and Comment Notes will be saved onto the PDF and will be available as part of the Workpapers file that is generated.
