Re-Import Without Rework: Observations Stay Unaffected

Introduction

We’re excited to introduce a smarter way to run observations in SMSF Sorted, designed to make data re-imports more efficient and reduce unnecessary re-work.

Previously, re-importing data could cause observations that had already been reviewed and moved to Good to Go, to appear under Warnings again, even when there was no change in the underlying data. This resulted in users having to repeatedly review and move the same observations to Good To Go.

With this enhancement, SMSF Sorted now intelligently identifies changes in the underlying data, and updates observations only when required.

Smart Observation Data Re-import

  1. Observations with unchanged underlying data will no longer be re-run during a data re-import process.
  2. If the underlying data for an observation changes, the observation will be re-run and updated based on the latest data.

  1. Observations that have been manually moved to Good to Go, will retain their status when their underlying data remains unchanged.

  1. This eliminates the need to repeatedly move unchanged observations from Warning to Good to Go after every re-import.
  2. The enhancement helps streamline the review process and improve overall efficiency.
